Jasmine Buccowich, DVM
Dr. Jasmine Buccowich grew up in California but spent her early years living in Hawaii. After completing her bachelor’s and master’s degree in biology from UC San Diego, she moved to Oahu in 2014. She was a snorkel tour guide at Hanauma Bay and volunteered at Kalihi Pet Clinic in her free time. She was hired as a veterinary assistant and worked with Dr. Obara during the busy ‘walk-in’ service days. She moved to California to attend UC Davis Veterinary School before rejoining the Kalihi Pet Clinic family in 2022.
Dr. Jasmine has always had a passion for learning about animals and marine life. Growing up she had a dog, pet mice, an alligator lizard, anoles, and a tarantula; unfortunately she never was allowed to have a pet rabbit. Prior to her veterinary career, she spent time volunteering at wildlife rehabilitation centers and zoos. She obtained her master’s degree studying blue whale songs off of the shores of California, Hawaii, and the Gulf of Mexico.
In her free time, Dr. Jasmine enjoys the Hawaiian surf, warm waters, and hiking with her dog Cornflake. She also two cats, Maizey, the princess, and Monty, the cookie monster.
